Funding Pattren : The Gram Shree Melas at places apart from state capitals with provision of 40-50 stalls for a ten days duration each will be funded to the extent of Rs. 4.50 Lakhs inclusive of ground rent. The ground organising the mela should preferably be owned by Village Panchayat/ Town area committee/ State. The Melas at State capitals with 90-100 Stalls and 10 Days duration will be funded to the extent of Rs. 10.00 Lakhs inclusive of ground rent. The releases of funds are made in three installments viz. 50% after reciept of terms and conditions of sanction duly accepted by the NGO, 25% on completion of erection of stalls / other arrangements and 25% on submission of Mela report as per format alongwith audited statement of accounts, utilisation certificate by the VO and evaluation reports of the Monitor |

Description : CAPART directs a substantial part of its efforts towards income generation activities through production of marketable goods in rural areas. To provide these goods marketing outlets, and to make their presence felt in urban market, CAPART decided to give this work to rural artisans under the name of ‘GRAM SHREE’. This provides an opportunity to rural producers to sell their products directly in major market, to interact with the buyers, to study an comprehend the latter’s tastes, preferences and choices. Thus it helps them to upgrade and adjust their products and marketing skills and provide a better service to the consumers while benefiting from a larger marketing opportunity |
In order to be eligible for getting funds from CAPART for organisation of GSM / BSM, the NGO :- 1. must be a registered organisation under the Societies Registration Act 1860 or a state amendment there of , the Indian Trust Act 1882 or the Religious or Charitable Institutions registration Act 1920 ; 2. should have completed 3 years with proven track record 3. should have undertaken projects/activities on income generation/production/Marketing of rural crafts etc. 4. should be financially sound 5. should have organisational ability to handle events such as workshops /seminars /market promotion activity, publicity and public relations etc. 6. should have adequate manpower and resources to undertake the event. 7. Should have a cordial working relationship with local government, line departments of the state and enjoy a good reputation with local people and the groups. 8. Should have some physical presence in the state/UT where the mela is being organised. | |||
How to avail : i) Kindly download the format for Organisation profile, Project profile, scheme profile and list of mandatory documents.ii)Fill up the required information as per these formats and upload the files in PDF format. iii) NGOs having experience in Rural Development projects also has to submit the hardcopy of their proposals along with the mandatory documents.iv)The hardcopy of the proposal has to be sent to respective HQ/RCs as given in guidelines of CAPART(page no.175 to 178).
