CHECK-LIST FOR REGISTRATION OF SOCIETIES UNDER
HIMACHAL PRADESH SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT, 2006.
AS PER REQUIREMENT OF SECTION-5 
1. Name of the Society;
2. Objectives of the society as per section-1(3) of the Act;
3. Location & Head Office of the Society;
4. Area of operation;
5. Name, age, addresses & occupations of the Board of Governors;
6. Treasury Challan showing the payment of registration fee of Rs. 500/- as
prescribed in the Rules;
7. Resolution regarding adoption of Rule-Regulations/Bye-laws duly signed
by all the promoter members;
8. Joint affidavit of promoter members to the effect that the society shall
perform only charitable & welfare  activities and the members shall be
liable /responsible for all the consequences concerning society;
9. Two Copies of memorandum of association in original containing identity
proof of all the promoter members;
10. Any other document or information as Registrar of Societies deems fit.
Regulations of the society providing for 
following provisions as per requirement of section-8 
1. Conditions of admission of members ;
2. the liability of members to fines and forfeitures under certain
circumstances;
3. the consequences of non-payment of any subscription or fine. The
resignation and expulsion of members;
4. the appointment and removal of staff and officers and their staff and their
powers;
5. the manner of electing and removing the governing body and the powers of
such body;
6. the time and place of annual general meeting, special general meeting  and

8. the quorum necessary for the transaction of business at meetings of the
society;
9. the manner of making altering and rescinding regulations of the society;

periodical audit of accounts as per provisions of section-35

12. the condition that the society will have neither profit motive nor its profit
shall be distributed among members;
